Since I'm only a couple of days behind I figure I will just go ahead and make up for them by doing 3 blogs the first day instead of 1.
So I figured that it would be a good time to introduce you to just who I am and let you know just who this character is that you will be spending the next 30 days (actually now 27 days) reading about.
First off my name is Ronda. Yes, it is spelled without the "h". My brother is the one who made that decision when he chose my name. He figured that you don't hear the "h" in my name so why include it.
I am a college student at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. I'm a junior in the College of Education and am working on an undergrad degree in Elementary Education. However, I don't plan to be a teacher (Then why are you in the program if you're not planning to teach?). I'm planning to become a School Library Media Specialist, a.k;a a School Librarian and in order for me to get into the Master's program I must have a teaching certificate and be admitted to the Professional Education program. Since I figured I like working with children in the Elementary grades, I thought Elementary Education would be the best choice.
I'm also a NERDFIGHTER and a big fan of Hank and John Green; the vlogbrothers. I officially became a nerdfighter when I saw Hank's "Accio Deathly Hallows" video. One of my friends sent me a link for the video a couple of days later. I watched that video and then started watching some others and the rest is history. I have always considered myself to be a nerd and now had a reason to be proud to be a nerd and embraced it even more. I am glad to be a nerdfighter and glad to be part of a community where I am accepted.
Since I've already told that I became a Nerdfighter after watching "Accio Deathly Hallows" you can probably tell that I am a fan of Harry Potter. I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. It's a bit of an obsession for me (ok, maybe not a bit but rather a HUGE obsession). I LOVE Harry Potter and everything to do with it. I've read all the books numorous times, seen all the movies numorous times, and have all sorts of Harry Potter merchandise and have fallen in love with my fairly recent discovery of Wrock. I have a problem. It's true. I could go on about how obsessed I am but for the sake of this blog, I won't. Just know that Harry Potter is high on my list of obsessions.
Some other things about me: My favorite color is purple although I also just love any bright colors. My favorite food is Arroz con pollo or Chicken with rice. One of my all time favorite fruits are strawberries. My favorite music artists are Cher, Elton John, Phil Collins, and TSO (Trans-Siberian Orchestra). I love all types of music except for Rap (Ew!). I especially enjoy Classical, Dance, and 80's music. I play piano and have played ever since I was in 3rd grade and I love stars.
That should be enough information for now. At least, enough to give you an idea of just who I am. I'm almost 100% postive I've forgotton some key facts and I will certainly have to update you once I come across them.
